Update: WAEC Extends GCE Registration Deadline
The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has extended the registration period for the second series of Computer-based examinations for private candidates.
The council announced the extension of the deadline on its official X account on Wednesday.
The registration period for CB-WASSCE for Private Candidates, 2025-Second Series has been extended to Friday, September 19, 2025. All prospective candidates are admonished to make good use of this opportunity.

According to the council, this extension will allow candidates who were unable to complete their registration for one reason or another.
The council urged all prospective candidates to make full utilization of this grace period.
