Are you a private candidate planning to write the 2026 CB-WASSCE? Here’s good news for you. The West African Examination Council WAEC has officially announced that the registration for the 2026 Computer-based West African Senior School Certificate Examination (CB-WASSCE) is ongoing.
The announcement came as a relief to many candidates who already lost hope of sitting for the first series of the important examination following earlier speculations about the registration deadline for the first series of the 2026 West African Certificate Examination for Private Candidates.
The Council added that candidates can now visit any of its offices nationwide, or major commercial banks or accredited partners close to them for registration. Although the council did not publish an official closing for the first series of the 2026 CB-WASSCE, candidates were advised to seize the opportunity and enroll for the certificate examination.
