New Curriculum: JSS and SSS Now Offer Computer Programming and Robotics
The Nigerian Ministry of Education, in a move to review and update its curriculum for the Junior Secondary School (JSS) and Senior Secondary School (SSS), has made significant changes to its old curriculum.
According to the Ministry, the revision of the old curriculum became necessary to prepare students in the country’s Junior and Senior Secondary schools for the realities of the 21st century. In an ever-evolving world of technology, digital literacy is no longer an option but a necessity to equip students to prepare for these digital changes.
Speaking on the introduction of a new curriculum, the minister of education said, “This new curriculum is designed to include basic digital and advanced digital stills within the level of the Junior and Senior Secondary School students to equip them for the future better”.
