The University of Benin (UniBEN), Benin City, has opened the application portal for the 2025/2026 UniBEN Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) screening application for prospective students scheduled to take place between Monday, 4th of August and 22nd August 2025.
The exercise shall be a fully Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode and will take place in designated centres in the Ugbowo campus of the University.
Candidates who sat for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and chose the University of Benin (UNIBEN) as their first-choice institution and scored 200 and above in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME.

University of Benin 2025 / 2026 Post-UTME Screening Requirements
- Candidates must have sat for the 2025 UTME examination and scored 200 and above.
- Candidates must choose UNIBEN as their first-choice institution. Those who did not make UNIBEN their first choice but wish to study at UNIBEN can effect a change of institution to UNIBEN via their JAMB portal.
- Candidates must meet the JAMB required minimum age of 16 years.
- Candidates must have at least five credits in their O’level, including mathematics and English Language.

Application Procedures
- Visit the UniBEN UTME application portal.
- Click on the “Begin Application process” button and carefully read the few instructions before proceeding.
- Input your JAMB registration number, your JAMB score, and set a password to begin the application.
- Log in using your JAMB registration number as User ID and the password you set.
- Provide all required information by filling out the provided form.
- Proceed to make a payment of N5,000.00 application fee via Remita (N2,000.00 for Screening and N3,000.00 for portal charges).
- Preview and confirm your provided information before submitting the application online.
- Print out the acknowledgement slip.
- Return to your portal on Wednesday, 27th August 2025, to print out the application slip containing your screening exam schedule.
Key notice
- Candidates who are awaiting their O’level results can also apply, but must indicate as Awaing Result (AR).
- The institution strongly warns candidates to avoid bringing GSM phones and calculators into the exam hall or venue.
- Candidates must bring along their Application Slip containing the scheduled date before they can be allowed to write the exams.
