The Nigerian Education Loan Fund in its continued effort to support all students in tertiary education by providing interest-free loans has once again announced the latest disbursement of over N290 million to thousands of students across three polytechnics in Nigeria.
According to the update posted on its official X handle, over N294 million has been disbursed in batches 2 and 3 of the recent phase. Benefiting 2,652 students across three Institutions.
Disbursement Breakdown
Batch 2 payment: – N47,038,000 to 29 students
Batch 3 Payment:
N17,480,000.00 was disbursed to 117 students of the Gateway (ICT) Polytechnic, Saapade. N47,038,000.00 was disbursed to 356 students of Mashood Abiola Polytechnic.
N230,050,000.00 to 2,150 students of the Lagos State University of Education, Oto/Ijanikin.

Acknowledging the funds, the Vice Chancellor of Lagos State University of Education, through its Bursar, Mr. A. G. Ajose, wrote:
“The University hereby acknowledges the receipt of a total sum of Two Hundred and Thirty-Million, Fifty Thousand Naira (230,050,000.00) only, from your organization under the Federal Government NELfund Students Loan Programme, in respect of 2,156 students of the institution for the 2024/2025 session.”
This initiative reflects the Nelfund’s continued commitment to supporting students and expanding access to quality education through targeted funding.
The Fund encourages students who have yet to apply for the NELFUND scheme to do so—further assuring students that the NELFUND remains committed to its mandate of making tertiary education accessible to every Nigerian, through interest-free loans.
