JAMB Reopens Portal for 2025 WAEC Results Upload, Urges Affected Candidates to Upload their O’level results at Accredited Centres
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has announced the reopening of the portal for the 2025 WAEC results after it was shut down for a week for verification following a technical glitch that affected the results of the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination.
The Board announced the temporary closure of the O-Level upload portal on August 14th, 2025, as a measure to address and review candidates who already uploaded their previously released WAEC results to their JAMB CAPs.
What should candidates do?
Candidates who were unable to upload their O-level results to JAMB are urged to do so as soon as possible by visiting any of the JAMB-accredited centres close to them.
Meanwhile, candidates who already uploaded the previously released WAEC results to their JAMB portal before now are also advised to confirm that their O-level records are up to date and correspond with their reprinted WAEC results grades.
How to confirm your WAEC results records in JAMB CAPS
To confirm if your O-level results were successfully uploaded to your JAMB CAPs, follow these steps:
- Log in to the JAMB efacility portal using your email and password.
- Click on “Check Admission Status”.
- Select the applied year (e.g., 2025) and click “Access my CAPS”.
- Click “My O’level”.
- Click on “refresh” to display your O’level records.
Note: If after refreshing your records and nothing shows, proceed to reupload your O’level results.
Why O’Level Upload is Important
O’level results upload is important and mandatory for all UTME candidates seeking admission into any Nigerian University through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). It serves as a blueprint for determining candidates’ academic performance and a significant criterion for admission screening.
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board JAMB has made o’level upload mandatory for all candidates seeking admission. The Board also warns that candidates who failed to upload their o’level results to their CAPS will not be considered for admission, irrespective of their UTME score.
