Available Cadres and Qualifications
The recruitment is open to qualified Nigerians in the following categories:
CATEGORY A: General Duty Superintendent Cadre
- Superintendent of Corrections (CONMESS 02) – For NCoS Only
- Qualification: MBBS Degree (Medicine & Surgery)
- Assistant Superintendent I (COMPASS 09) – For FFS Only
- Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Water or allied fields or Law (LL.B, LL.M)
- Assistant Superintendent II (COMPASS 08)
Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma
CATEGORY B: Inspectorate Cadre
- Inspector (CONHESS 06) – For NCoS, FFS, and NSCDC
Qualification: Registered Nurse (RN), Midwife (RM), RN/M from a recognized institution
Assistant Inspector (COMPASS 06)
Qualification: NCE or ND in any relevant discipline
CATEGORY C: Assistant Cadre
- Assistant II (COMPASS 04 – General Duty)
- Qualification: SSCE/GCE with a minimum of 5 credits (including English and Math) or Trade Test Grade II
- Assistant III (COMPASS 03 – Drivers/Artisans)
- Qualification: SSCE/GCE with a minimum of 4 credits or Trade Test Grade III
Eligibility and Statutory Requirements
- Must be a Nigerian by birth
- Must meet the academic and professional qualifications
- Must be physically and mentally fit
- Must present a valid medical certificate from a government hospital
- Must have no criminal record or financial embarrassment
- Must be between the ages of 18 and 35
Height Requirements:
- Male: Not less than 1.65m
- Female: Not less than 1.60m
- Chest Measurement for Males: Minimum of 0.87m
- Computer literacy is an added advantage
