IgniteHER is a bootcamp program designed to empower Nigerian women entrepreneurs. This initiative by The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) in collaboration with JICA has aligns with the National Gender Digital Inclusion Strategy (NGDIS) to help bridge the gap between limited access to funding, technology, mentorship, and market opportunities.
IgniteHER Bootcamp is a transformative initiative aimed at empowering women entrepreneurs to scale up their ventures, through tailored training, access to critical resources, and strategic networking opportunities, the programme equips women to build and scale sustainable businesses that contribute meaningfully to economic growth and social impact.
IgniteHER seeks to bridge the gender gap in the digital economy by equipping Nigerian women with the skills, tools, and network needed to thrive.
Who can apply
Application is open to:
- Female founders/co-founders of startups or registered MSMEs
- Female individuals with concrete business ideas

Applicants are to expect a lot of exciting moments and memorable experiences, some which includes:
- Hybrid format: Applicants will enjoy 8 dynamic session (Tuesdays to Fridays, 9:00am – 12:00pm WAT) combining online learning with in-person sessions at the JICA Nigeria office in Abuja.
- Enhanced skills: Boost your business planning, financial literacy, and digital prowess, including hands-on experience with AI tools.
- Access to finance: Get investment readiness support and learn about various financing options.
- Networking & mentorship: Women committed to breaking gender barriers are driving innovation in the tech ecosystem.
- Special opportunity: Top-performing businesses will be selected for a study trip to Japan to attend a startup event.
