The Management of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE) has announced that the university has commenced accepting applications for admission into newly approved undergraduate programmes.
The Institution made the announcement following the approval by the National University Commission (NUC) of 10 new undergraduate programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session, marking the university’s critical expansion of academic offerings from education to science programmes.
The university urges qualified candidates who are yet to gain admission to seize the opportunity and apply for admission into the newly approved programmes.

The University cautioned candidates to beware of fake agents claiming to work for the school, noting that applications are strictly online via the institution’s official application portal.
Method of Application
Eligible candidates who wish to apply for admission must follow the procedures below for successful registration:
- Visit the official undergraduate registration portal of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education.
- Verify eligibility by entering your registration number.
- Make a non-refundable payment of fifteen thousand Naira (N15,000) only using a Visa, Verve, or Mastercard for the online form.
- Select our preferred program, complete the form, and submit it.
Eligibility Criteria:
The management further highlighted that only qualified candidates who meet the minimum admission requirements will be considered for admission. Some of which include:
UTME Requirement: Candidates must have sat for the 2025 JAMB Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) with a minimum score of 150 and selected Ignatius Ajuru University of Education as their first-choice institution. Those who made the university their second choice can also apply, but will be required to make a JAMB change of institution and make it their first choice.
O’Level Requirement: Candidates must possess a minimum of five in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics. Candidates are also encouraged to use the JAMB Integrated Brochure & Syllabus System (IBASS) for proper guidance on subject combination sections.
The university confirmed that the JAMB ranking system will be used to select candidates for the new undergraduate programs. Your performance in the 2025 JAMB UTME will be important for your admission. Make sure all your credentials, including O’level results and other documents, are uploaded and verified on the JAMB portal to avoid any issues during the admission process.
The university also stressed that the admission process is based on transparency and merit. Only applicants who meet all academic and regulatory requirements will be considered. Prospective students should check official updates from the university and JAMB regularly to avoid missing important information about their application or screening. What to do After the Application
After a successful application, candidates should monitor their registered email for updates and a possible invitation to the admission screening exercise, and also check their JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) for admission status updates. Candidates must also ensure that they adhere to JAMB’s primary admission requirements, such as uploading their O’level results to their JAMB portal
Important Dates and Application Deadlines
The online application for admission into the newly approved programmes will be open for one week only, starting Wednesday, 5th November 2025, to Tuesday, 11th November 2025. Candidates were also encouraged to apply within the set time, as the deadline may not be extended.
