Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE), Port Harcourt, has today matriculated over 3,000 fresh students into the university community. The 2025/2026 matriculation ceremony held at the University’s main campus saw a vibrant display of hopeful anticipation and an inspiring welcome address by the institution’s Vice Chancellor.
The campus was filled with excitement, and fresh students adorned in their academic gowns symbolizing their official entry into the university. Parents, guardians, and members of the academic committees gathered in their numbers to celebrate with the new intakes.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Okechuku Onuchuku, in his opening address, welcomed the freshmen and women into the university community and stressed the importance of discipline, dedication, and academic excellence. “This is the beginning of your journey that demands responsibility and integrity. I urge all our students to make the most of the opportunities presented here to uphold the values of this institution and the nation at large,” he said.
